Poland VPN for Expats and Travellers: Providers With Polish Servers Compared

Who actually needs a Polish exit node

Mostly Poles living in London, Dublin or Berlin. Banks, streaming catalogues and some government portals check where the connection comes from, and a foreign IP triggers extra verification or outright blocks. A Polish address fixes that geolocation signal only; with split tunnelling on, the extra hop affects just the traffic you route through Poland. Travellers and residents use it differently: a nearby EU exit in Poland suits people who want one stable European location rather than home catalogues.

Top three compared

All the rock-bottom figures come from long prepaid terms. If you only need a Polish IP for a short visit home, the monthly column tells the truth, and there the leaders differ sharply.

Why TorGuard is fourth and IVPN sixth

The page order weights network at 40% and privacy at 20%, with security taking 13.3% and the rest split across value, censorship bypass and apps. That is what puts TorGuard fourth: a network sub-score of 8.3 against a privacy score of just 2.3, which is why it lands only 27th in the main ranking. IVPN runs the opposite race, fourth overall thanks to a privacy sub-score of 9.0, yet sixth here because its network score is a mere 2.5. One caveat for all of them: the network sub-score counts countries, servers and 10 Gbps ports, but never tests the Polish server itself.

What providers publish about the Polish location

Very little. Only 23 of the 80 publish a city count, and the site does not record which Polish city any of them uses. A virtual location means an address labelled with one country while the serving machine sits elsewhere; one provider admits using them somewhere in its network, five confirm physical servers, and 74 publish nothing at all. A dedicated IP keeps the same Polish address in every session, and that tends to reduce repeat security checks from banks, though it guarantees nothing; 19 providers offer one. Streaming claims mention Netflix (23) and BBC iPlayer (12); none of them concerns Polish channels, so a Polish catalogue has to be tested on your own subscription.

Weaknesses further down the list

Thirteen services carry a red flag, ten for storing the connection IP and three for public security incidents, and a flag caps their overall score at 6.0. None of the 80 names Poland as its company country: the USA accounts for 18 companies, Hong Kong and Germany four each, and 27 publish no country.

Prices, renewals and the free route

Auto-renewal is on by default for 40 of the 80, and it charges your card again if you forget to cancel, so write the renewal date down the day you pay. Thirty-four providers run a free plan, but those usually limit locations and data; the free VPN page for Poland compares them properly. The European server country pages list nearby EU alternatives.

Test the Polish address before the refund clock ends

Three steps, in order. Connect to the Polish server and paste the IP into RIPEstat to confirm the block is registered to Poland; some "Polish" ranges geolocate oddly. Use the trial where one exists, or the refund guarantee if it does not. Then check the bank and streaming logins you actually care about, on the device you use daily, and claim your money back if anything fails.

FAQ

Which one fits which reader

Strongest result overall: CitadelVPN (8.63, unlimited devices, no auto-renewal). Biggest network: Surfshark, 100 countries and 4500+ servers, but watch the default renewal. Lowest long-term cost: FastestVPN, though it scores zero on censorship bypass, which barely matters for a Polish exit. Wherever you land, verify the IP and test your key logins before the window closes.
