VPNs with Servers in China: Get a Chinese IP Address from Abroad

Top 3 VPNs with China servers on this page

Le VPN covers 81 countries, ships clients for every major platform plus routers, and offers Stealth WireGuard, an obfuscated take on the protocol. HiroVPN relies on VLESS and bundles a kill switch with split tunnelling; the site, rouble prices and payments through SBP, SberPay and Tinkoff Pay target Russian speakers. Pro Gamer VPN's entry covers nine Android apps on Google Play and claims Great Firewall bypass.

Why Le VPN tops this page but not the overall score

The page score puts 40% weight on network and streaming, 20% on privacy, 13% on security, and 10% each on price, censorship bypass and apps. That rewards a wide country map, which lifts Le VPN to first place despite an overall score of 3.15 and a privacy score of 0.7: its homepage promises no logs, yet its terms say it keeps session IPs, connection timestamps and traffic volume. VPN Jantit, BullVPN and Super Free VPN share that same red flag.

Who a Chinese IP is actually for

A China exit convinces a mainland site that you are there: video and music platforms, shopping, Alipay, bank portals. Several platforms also demand a Chinese payment method or ID, which no VPN fixes. Travelling into China and reaching blocked foreign sites is the opposite job; it needs stealth protocols pointed outward, covered in the separate China-use VPN ranking.

Virtual China servers versus physical ones

A virtual location assigns a Chinese IP while the hardware sits elsewhere, frequently Hong Kong. Industry research notes most large VPNs offer only virtual China servers, and providers on this page rarely disclose which kind they run; only 2 of the 18 publish a city count (IceVPN with 90+, VPN Jantit with 86). A Hong Kong exit is not a substitute: mainland platforms read that IP as foreign, so the Hong Kong server list suits people after a Hong Kong IP, not Youku or Tencent Video.

What all 18 services look like

Two jurisdictions each belong to Hong Kong and the USA, and the smallest network is Reindeer VPN with 7 countries (US, SG, JP, HK, DE, TW, CN). Tcpvpn and Power VPN sit outside the main ranking due to low data transparency, and page scores come from what providers publish, not from live testing.

Checking that the Chinese IP really works

1. Pick the China location, then run an IP lookup: the result should geolocate inside mainland China.
2. Wipe the app's cached data or reinstall, because many Chinese apps cling to a previously detected region.
3. Disable location services for that app, since GPS readings can contradict your IP.
4. Try the service you actually paid for while the refund window is open (Next Hour gives 7 days, Le VPN and HiroVPN 30).
