Korean-Language VPNs: Providers With a Website in Korean
Thirty-nine VPN providers publish an official website in Korean, and the ranking puts Proton VPN first (6.40), with Surfshark and PureVPN level at 6.34 right behind. The Korean label, though, applies to the website only: whether the app speaks Hangul or the help desk answers in Korean is a separate question you verify yourself, ideally before the money-back window closes. How the 39 Korean-language providers are selected and weighted
The rule is simple: Korean must appear in the language list of the provider's own site. That gets a service onto the page; it says nothing about app translation or support, which are checked separately and published for only a handful of providers. All 39 get a score, and 37 of them have enough published data for the main ranking.
The weighting favours software and service. Apps and support carry 35% of the score, privacy 21.7%, security 14.4%, price and terms 10.8%, censorship bypass another 10.8%, and the physical network just 7.2%. That is why a provider with a modest server count can outrank a giant with a weak support section.

Where each of the top three loses points
Proton's trouble spot is the renewal price: after the first term on the two-year Plus plan it costs about twice as much. Surfshark's privacy mark sits at 4.4 because the company is registered in a Nine Eyes country and keeps connection IP and session times temporarily, deleting them 15 minutes after the session ends. PureVPN loses ground on security (4.3): its pages show no published security audit, no open-source apps and no bug bounty.
Korean help desks and live chat on the list
Support in your language is the scarcest resource here. Only two of the 39 publish their support languages at all, and Surfshark is the only one that names Korean: it maintains a Korean help centre alongside a round-the-clock live chat. Live chat exists at 20 of the 39 services, but 24/7 coverage is rarer (15). A long language menu proves little on its own: PandaVPN Pro lists 44 website languages, more than anyone else on the page, yet ranks 18th with no live chat and a 7-day refund policy.
Who runs the 39 services: segments and jurisdictions
The list splits into consumer VPNs (22), free or mobile-first apps (8), VPNs inside security suites (5), gaming VPNs (3) and one decentralised service. Registrations cluster in the USA (11), with the BVI and Panama at 3 each and 10 providers not stating a country at all. Fourteen sit outside every surveillance alliance; 13 are under Five Eyes.
Free plans among the Korean-language VPNs
Fifteen of the 39 offer a free tier, though the terms differ sharply in data limits, ads and device counts. Proton's free plan is the straightforward pick: unlimited data, no ads, one device.
Confirming the Korean app during the refund window
- On Android, change the language for a single app in its settings and check whether the VPN app has a Korean build.
- Open the kill switch and split tunnelling screens; leftovers in English tend to hide there.
- Send support one short Korean question and see what comes back.
- Note the renewal date. Auto-renewal is on by default at 27 of the 39 providers, so cancel before the term ends if you do not want a second charge.
When you need a Korean IP address rather than Korean menus
A Korean interface does not give you a Korean location. If the goal is accessing services that only work from South Korea, look at the ranking of VPNs with servers in South Korea, or the free South Korea VPN list if you want to pay nothing.
FAQ
Does a Korean website mean the app is in Korean?
No. The ranking checks the website language only; app localisation is published for few services, so test the app yourself within the refund window.
Which VPN offers support in Korean?
Surfshark, and only Surfshark: it is the sole provider on the page that documents a Korean help centre.
Is there a free VPN with a Korean interface?
Proton VPN's free plan (unlimited data, no ads, one device) comes from a provider whose website is confirmed in Korean. The ranking does not record which languages Proton's app offers, so install it and check the menus yourself.
Which Korean-language VPN to choose
Pick Proton VPN if privacy and a large network (140+ countries, 20000+ servers) matter most and you accept the renewal price. Pick Surfshark if Korean help material, 24/7 chat and unlimited devices lead your list. PureVPN fits a tight budget at €1.85 a month, provided the thin security documentation does not put you off. Private Internet Access, fifth on the page, has the cheapest plan at €1.63 a month but scores zero on censorship bypass, which matters on networks that block VPN traffic. Whatever you choose, run the Korean app and support checks while the money-back period still covers you.
