Trend Micro VPN Proxy One scores 1.11 out of 10, ranking 24th out of 25 in our VPNs bundled with antivirus products list. It offers apps for Windows, macOS, iOS and Android, protection against malicious websites, and a 24/7 chat. The problem is what Trend Micro stays silent about: there is no no-logs policy on its official pages, and the protocols, kill switch and country count are not stated. The service gets zero points for privacy, security and network.

Switching within Trend Micro barely changes anything

VPN Proxy One Pro has been renamed Trend Micro VPN, and on our site these are two cards for the same product. The price is the same, $29.95 per year for one device, and the technical details are just as scarce. The difference comes down to two points: the Trend Micro VPN card lists Japan as its jurisdiction, which sits outside the surveillance alliances, so it scores 1.51, and it also has a five-device plan for $59.95.

What scores higher for the same money

McAfee VPN (3.19) costs the same in the first year, $29.99 for one device. It names its protocols (WireGuard, OpenVPN, IKEv2), it has a kill switch, and it cites an independent no-logs audit. The catch is the renewal: the second year costs $89.99, three times as much. Norton VPN (3.01) starts at €2.29 per month. Webroot WiFi Security, Aura VPN, Clario and ioloVPN score between 1.20 and 2.31, and Aura is noticeably more expensive than the rest: from €10.32 per month.

What to look for when choosing

All seven services on the list come bundled with security suites, and five of them are registered in the US. If privacy matters to you, first check whether the service publishes a no-logs policy and a list of protocols, and only then compare first-year prices.
