15 Reddit and forum threads mention Trend Micro VPN Proxy One (we keep titles and search snippets only).

We collected 243 reviews, and the two sources paint different pictures. In the App Store, 107 reviews average 4.36 out of 5, while on Trustpilot 136 reviews average just 1.76. The reason is that the Trustpilot profile is shared across all of Trend Micro: most reviews there are about the antivirus and billing, and the VPN itself is rarely mentioned.

Main complaints on Trustpilot

The most common topic is charges after a subscription is cancelled. The story repeats itself: auto-renewal is switched off or the subscription is cancelled, yet a year later money is taken from the card again, sometimes via the intermediary Digital River. The second theme is that support is hard to reach: people spend hours waiting on the line and get scripted answers. The company has not replied to a single one of the 111 negative reviews, and all 7 new reviews over the last 90 days gave one star. If you do buy, keep your cancellation confirmation and read the refund terms in advance.

What people write about the app in the App Store

Here the reviews are about the VPN itself, and they are mostly positive, though short: the app turns on by itself and reminds you that protection is running. There are 13 negative ones. In them, the VPN fails to hold the connection and has to be enabled manually, on iPad the app logs the user out after renewal, and the enabled VPN switches off Wi-Fi. Several people expected the VPN to be included in their Maximum Security license and were unhappy about paying extra.
