PureVPN's checkout has a field for a coupon code, but the data VPNRadarLab collected from the provider's own pages (15 October 2026) contains no specific code, so this page lists none. The discount is built into the long plans instead: up to 85% off Plus on the 2-year deal and 83% off Standard on the same term, both measured against the month-to-month price of that plan. The part that matters most is what happens after the first term, when billing switches to a yearly rate that runs noticeably higher than the deal price.
The coupon box at PureVPN's checkout and what to type into it
The field exists; whether anything should go into it is another matter. The collected data records no specific code. Deal sites repeat "exclusive" vouchers for a commercial reason: PureVPN runs an affiliate programme that pays the referring site per sale, and the buyer sees no part of that payout. VPNRadarLab does not collect or test codes from coupon sites, so the price PureVPN shows at checkout is the one to compare against. Check it on PureVPN's order page. When the data was collected, the site showed a banner of 82% off plus 3 months and also had separate Black Friday and Cyber Monday deal pages. Prices are displayed in USD only, with VAT or sales tax added where applicable and varying by country, so the number on the final screen is the real one.
How PureVPN arrives at 83% and 85%
Those percentages are measured against the monthly price of the same tier. Bonus months stretch each prepaid term, which drags the per-month figure down without changing what you actually pay upfront. The two-year deal runs 27 months, the one-year deal runs 16.
| Plan | 27-month total | Per month | 16-month total | Per month | Monthly plan |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | $58.20 | $2.15 | $40.80 | $2.55 | $12.95 |
| Plus | $73.80 | $2.73 | $72.80 | $4.55 | $17.95 |
| Max | $95.85 | $3.55 | $88.80 | $5.55 | $19.95 |
Plus shows the largest percentage because its deal rate drops furthest below its own monthly price. Between tiers, the differences are functional: Plus and Max add the password manager, and Max stacks data removal, dark web monitoring and a free eSIM with 3 GB for 30 days. If you want none of that, Standard is the tier where the discount does real work. The full breakdown of every term sits on our PureVPN pricing page.
Year three: the yearly bill after the bonus months
Bonus months are a one-off. When they run out, the subscription rolls into annual billing at a different rate.
| Plan and deal | First bill | Yearly renewal | Renewal per month |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard, 27 months | $58.20 | $47.95 | about $4.00 |
| Standard, 16 months | $40.80 | $57.95 | about $4.83 |
| Plus, either deal | from $72.80 | $69.95 | about $5.83 |
| Max, 27 months | $95.85 | $84.95 | about $7.08 |
On the cheapest tier the monthly cost steps up by a factor of about 1.86 ($2.15 to roughly $4.00). Two details catch people off guard. First, the shorter Standard deal renews at a higher yearly price than the longer one, so saving on the first bill costs you later. Second, auto-renewal is on by default, and a renewal charge falls outside the 31-day money-back window; the guarantee covers the initial purchase only. Turn the switch off in the member area, through live chat or by email, or follow the steps in our guide to cancelling PureVPN.
The price and terms sub-index here is 5.3 of 10: the renewal jump takes points off, and points are also missing for no free plan and no renewal reminder, with one earned for self-service cancellation. Separately, the overall score is 5.3 of 10, putting PureVPN 7th in the main ranking.
Students, referrals, crypto and the 7-day trial
A student discount: not in the data VPNRadarLab collected, so no figure can be quoted here. A referral programme: likewise absent from the collected data; treat any reward you see elsewhere as unconfirmed. An affiliate programme does exist, but as covered above, it pays publishers and coupon sites, not buyers.
Crypto is accepted (Bitcoin and other coins through CoinPayments), yet no lower price for paying in it appears anywhere in the data, and crypto purchases are excluded from the 31-day guarantee, as are Google Play and App Store purchases. The free trial runs 7 days, converts to a paid plan automatically, and the renewal that follows it cannot be refunded; there is no free plan. Add-ons also push the checkout total, dedicated IP from $2.49 a month and multi-login from $1.49 a month among them.
PureVPN coupon questions
Is there a PureVPN student discount?
Nothing recorded in the data collected from PureVPN's own pages, so VPNRadarLab quotes no student price or percentage.
Are codes on coupon sites better than the price on PureVPN's order page?
VPNRadarLab does not test codes from coupon sites, and the affiliate scheme pays those sites per sale rather than rewarding the buyer. The price PureVPN shows at checkout is the figure to compare against.
Is the trial a cheaper way in?
Only for a quick test. It flips into a paid subscription on its own, and the charge after the 7 days is final.
Does paying in Bitcoin save money?
No crypto discount appears in the collected data, and you give up the money-back guarantee by paying that way.
Picking the cheapest PureVPN deal
Skip the code hunt. The 2-year Standard deal has the lowest monthly figure ($2.15) and the lowest yearly renewal ($47.95), while the 16-month Standard deal costs less upfront ($40.80) but renews higher ($57.95). Pay by card or PayPal to keep the 31-day refund, set a calendar reminder before the bonus months end, and read the checkout total once tax and extras are added, because that figure is the one you will actually pay.
