The bypass sub-index spans 7.1 to 8.1 across all three, so the score gaps come from elsewhere. Xeovo publishes nothing about a kill switch, leak protection or a security audit, which drags its security sub-index down to 1.1. StelsVPN's privacy score of 1.3 reflects an email requirement at sign-up and no independent audit of its no-logs claim. All three accept crypto (CitadelVPN and Xeovo list Monero), so card-free payment is possible across the board.

Service, client, panel or core

Consumer VPNs account for 26 of the 72 entries, free and mobile apps for 24, self-hosted tools for 13, hosting and tunnel setups for 6, decentralised dVPNs for 2 and a gaming service for 1. The tools that appear on the page include the clients v2rayN, v2rayNG, Hiddify, NekoBox, Karing, V2Box, Shadowrocket and Stash, plus the panels 3X-UI, Marzban, S-UI, X-UI and Hiddify Manager. Some providers, VPNEU, VPNBoy and FineVPN among them, publish no apps of their own and hand out configs for third-party clients instead.

Xray protocols across the page

VLESS is Project X's own protocol and teams up with Reality or XTLS Vision. VMess belongs to the older V2Ray side of the family (its own ranking lives separately). Trojan disguises traffic as ordinary TLS on port 443. Where several are offered, take VLESS first and keep Trojan as the fallback.

Xray vs V2Ray: what changed after the fork

Xray-core forked from v2fly's v2ray-core and has developed independently since. Config syntax looks familiar, but the developers state plainly that a direct swap no longer works: options and API details diverge. Project X created VLESS, XTLS Vision, REALITY, XHTTP and XUDP. Routing by domain, IP, port, protocol and process is a feature of the Xray core. Setting up an Xray client on Windows, Android, iOS and Android TV

For Windows machines v2rayN is the standard choice; for Android, v2rayNG or Hiddify. Import a vless:// link or a subscription URL by pasting it into the client. Turn on TUN mode (Wintun driver on Windows) so that every app is covered: plain proxy mode leaves behind software that ignores system proxy settings, and the kill switch matters most on hotel Wi-Fi, where a dropped tunnel otherwise leaks traffic. For TV sets, check first: only 12 of 72 entries list an Android TV app.

Running Xray on your own server

The official XTLS/Xray-install script places Xray on a Linux VPS with the config at /usr/local/etc/xray/config.json. Generate keys via xray x25519 and client IDs via xray uuid, then restart the service after each edit. One wrong character in the key and the connection is dead, silently. Panels like 3X-UI and Marzban handle the same job in a browser and produce share links per user.

Privacy, kill switch and payment: what the entries publish

The audit column is the stark one: only 3 of 72 services have an outside no-logs verification, and 55 publish nothing about a kill switch. Prices range from €0.71 a month at the low end with a €2.79 median for the cheapest plan.

If you already hold a key, a free client like v2rayN or v2rayNG is all you need. If you want full control and own a VPS, install Xray-core directly or add a panel like 3X-UI, and remember that bypass carries the heaviest weight in the score while privacy and security claims are where most providers stay silent.
