Norton has three plans, and all of them are sold a year upfront. A monthly subscription is mentioned in the terms, but the US site shows no price for it. Prices depend on the country: Norton runs separate regional sites, and our calculations use the dollar prices from the US site.
What you pay extra for
Standard at $39.99 covers the VPN itself on 5 devices. Plus at $49.99 adds protection against scams and malware, a password manager, dark web monitoring and 10 GB of cloud backup for Windows, with 5 devices as before. Ultimate at $59.99 raises the limit to 10 devices and adds parental controls with a child's location plus 50 GB of backup. If you already have a password manager and do not need dark web monitoring, Standard is enough: Plus has the same device limit.
The price over three years
The discount on the site is calculated against the renewal price, so the first year looks cheap: €2.87 a month for Standard versus the market median of €3.13. From the second year, the payment doubles to €5.73 a month, which is above the median. Over three years, Standard costs about €172, Plus about €232, and Ultimate about €275. Payment and refunds
You can pay by card or through PayPal; Norton does not accept cryptocurrency. The trial from the downloads page requires a card, and after it ends you are charged automatically.
