50 Reddit and forum threads mention UFO VPN (we keep titles and search snippets only).
Of the 1068 UFO VPN reviews we collected, almost all come from app stores: 661 from the App Store, 400 from Google Play, and just 7 from Trustpilot, the most recent of which dates back to 2020. The ratings are polarized: in the App Store, 89% of reviews gave one or five stars, in Google Play it's 86%. The App Store storefront shows 4.69 from about 16,000 ratings, but among the reviews we collected there are 90 negative ones, and over the last 90 days the average has dropped to 3.29, though that's based on only 7 reviews.
The main complaint: connection
We counted themes roughly, using keywords in English and Arabic. Of the negative App Store reviews, 43% are about connectivity, in Google Play it's 37%. Users report that the app fails to connect to servers, drops the connection, cuts speeds drastically, or crashes after an iOS update. Some authors complain that countries they paid for have disappeared from the list. If you have the same problem, start with the page UFO VPN not working.
The free version and money
Another 18% of App Store complaints concern the free mode: after updates there are fewer free countries, and the subscription form pops up right at launch. Around 13% are about money. Two storylines repeat: a full-price charge despite the app promising 3 free days, and a payment after which the account still shows as free. In Google Play, ads are the second most common complaint after connection, at 17% of negative reviews.
Company replies and the rating trend
In Google Play, the developer replied to 37 of 105 negative reviews; in the App Store, to none of the 90. The monthly figures show a decline: in the winter of 2025/26 the average held around 4.1–4.2, it dropped to 3.0–3.5 in spring, and since summer it has swung between 3.45 and 4.33.
