Who owns UFO VPN? Company, jurisdiction and related brands

Dreamfii HK Limited

UFO VPN is run by Dreamfii HK Limited, registered under number 75363257, and the same company is listed as its parent. The address on the website is Room H2, 4/F, Century Industrial Centre, 33-35 Au Pui Wan Street, Sha Tin, Hong Kong. The service does not name any owners above it, and there is no data protection officer either; all questions go to support@ufovpn.io.

Seven brands from the 2020 leak

The related brands came to light after an incident. In July 2020, researchers at vpnMentor found an open Elasticsearch server holding 1.2 TB of data, shared by seven Hong Kong VPNs: UFO VPN, FAST VPN, FREE VPN, SUPER VPN, Flash VPN, Secure VPN and Rabbit VPN. They turned out to share a developer and an app, one hosting provider and one payment recipient, so the researchers concluded these were white-label services under different names. Press coverage of the leak named Dreamfii HK as the likely parent company of all seven. The database contained email addresses, passwords in plain text, IP addresses and activity logs, even though all the services promised not to keep logs. The server was closed on July 15, ten days after the researchers reported it. In December 2025, UFO VPN stated that it had fully disabled logging on its servers and in its apps; this has not been independently verified. Other groups of related brands are collected in our section on VPN owners.

What Hong Kong means

Hong Kong is outside the Five, Nine and Fourteen Eyes alliances, and in our assessment that is a plus. At the same time, the UFO VPN policy states outright that data may be disclosed on a lawful request, and with no transparency report, the number of such requests is unknown. Services with the same registration are listed on our page for VPNs from Hong Kong.
