45 Reddit and forum threads mention VPN Proxy Master (we keep titles and search snippets only).

The star ratings in app stores and the written reviews paint very different pictures. Google Play shows 4.7 from 1.49 million ratings, while the US App Store shows 4.64. But of the 267 App Store reviews we collected, 167 are negative, and the average across all 267 is 2.46. Almost all ratings are extreme: one or five stars account for 91% of reviews in the App Store and Google Play.

App Store: it won't connect and keeps asking for payment

We counted themes roughly, based on keywords. About a third of the negative App Store reviews concern the connection: the app takes a long time to connect, disconnects on its own after an hour or after the screen locks, and for some reviewers even the paid version doesn't work. Another frequent complaint comes from people who expected a free VPN: without a subscription, connecting fails, and the app immediately pushes Premium. The company has not replied to any of the 167 negative App Store reviews.

Charges after the trial period

About a quarter of the negative App Store reviews and 11 out of 20 on Trustpilot are about money. The scenario repeats: a person starts a 3-day or 7-day trial in the app store, and the charge happens right away or after they delete the app. Others say they couldn't find where to cancel the subscription. The subscription must be cancelled on the platform where it was purchased, and the steps are collected in the cancellation guide. Support is criticized in 8 negative Trustpilot reviews: the chat cuts out and emails go unanswered. The company has replied there to 8 of the 20 negative reviews.
