Switch protocols first

The app offers OpenVPN, IKEv2, L2TP/IPsec, SSR and V2Ray; WireGuard is not available. If the connection won't come up or keeps dropping, switch from OpenVPN to IKEv2 or back. When the network itself blocks the VPN (an office, a hotel, some countries), try V2Ray: the company offers it for getting past firewalls. The top10vpn review found no separate obfuscation mode, and in its tests the app was blocked in China.

Check settings and limits

The kill switch cuts off the entire internet when the tunnel drops, and from the outside it looks like a network failure. Before turning off protection, reconnect to a different server. One subscription covers 10 devices at the same time, and split tunneling is available only in the paid version.

The site does not publish the limits of the free version. A third-party review gives both 500 MB of traffic and unlimited data on mobile, so if the free app suddenly stops connecting, check whether your traffic has run out.
