Bitdefender VPN refund policy: how to ask for your money back

Bitdefender VPN comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee. Send your request to refunds@bitdefender.com, and the clock starts from the purchase date or the renewal date. The second half of that rule matters more than the first. Auto-renewal is on by default, and a year renews at the full price of $69.99. If that charge went unnoticed, you have 30 days to get the money back.

How to submit a request

Email refunds@bitdefender.com from the address your Bitdefender Central account is registered with. State the payment date: the 30 days are counted from it.

Bitdefender does not say whether a refund turns off auto-renewal, so switch it off separately: in Bitdefender Central or by emailing cancel@bitdefender.com. Otherwise the subscription may be charged again in a year. The page on cancelling Bitdefender VPN walks you through it step by step.

What the terms do not cover

The rules are short, and some cases are simply missing from them. Bitdefender does not say whether it refunds purchases made through the App Store and Google Play, or payments for unused months beyond the 30 days. If your subscription came through an app store, check the refund terms with Apple or Google. There is no monthly plan on the official page; every paid plan is annual.
