Why the table shows no price in euros

Avira loads prices with a script and shows them in the currency of the visitor's country. When we checked, the pricing page returned prices in kroner: Pro monthly at 75 kr, Pro per year at 560 kr, which works out to 46 kr a month. The site does not specify which krone this is, so we do not convert the price into euros. A Security.org review from January 2026 quotes dollar prices: $10 a month, $78 a year ($6.50 a month), and $4.99 a month for the mobile-only plan. In both cases, the yearly term is roughly 35-40% cheaper per month than paying monthly.

Pricing plans

There are two paid plans: Pro, billed monthly or yearly, and Pro Mobile, which can be installed on any number of mobile devices and is purchased through the app. Terms run for a month or a year only; there are no two-year or lifetime plans. The VPN also comes with the Avira Prime bundle for 5 or 25 devices, together with an antivirus and a password manager. The 45% discount banner on the site applies to Prime; our data shows no discount on the VPN itself. The service is not available in India.

What the free version offers

The free version gives you 500 MB a month, or 1 GB after registration. Unlimited traffic, all locations and the kill switch are only available with Pro. That volume is enough to test whether the VPN works on your network, but not enough for everyday protection. Other options without payment are gathered in our list of free VPNs.

Renewal

The subscription renews automatically. Avira warns that the renewal price may be higher and may change; yearly subscribers are notified of the price by email in advance. The service does not publish the renewal amount. If a charge caught you by surprise, the terms are covered on our refund page.
