Who owns VeePN? Company, jurisdiction and related brands

The service is run by VeePN Corp., a company registered in Panama City. VeePN does not name a parent company or holding, and our collected data contains no names of owners or executives either. So everything that can be said about the owner comes from the service's documents: the privacy policy and the terms of use.

Three companies around one service

Besides the operator, two more companies appear in the VeePN documents. Laraun Limited from Cyprus acts as a reseller, meaning it sells the service's subscriptions, while IT Research LLC from the US handles payments. The contract, the sale and the payment may go through different legal entities in three countries. If you are looking for a charge on your bank statement, the name there may not match VeePN. Payments are also accepted by external payment services, including PayPal, Paddle and BlueSnap.

What Panama registration means

Panama is not part of the 5/9/14 Eyes alliances, and VeePN's terms say it discloses data only through Panamanian legal process. The service accepts copyright infringement notices by email or registered mail to an address in Panama. The operator's jurisdiction does not cover the whole chain: the reseller is registered in Cyprus, an EU member state, the payment company is in the US, and each of them falls under its own country's laws. Even so, the privacy policy does not name a data protection officer under the GDPR. Other services with the same jurisdiction are collected in the roundup VPNs with a Panama jurisdiction.

Is VeePN connected to other VPNs?
