X-VPN does have a promo code field at checkout, but we do not invent ready-made codes or take them from coupon sites. At the time of our last check, the service's site had no separate sale. The main savings at X-VPN are built into the subscription length.
Where the 76% discount comes from
X-VPN calculates the 76% figure from the monthly price multiplied over the full term: 24 months at $11.99 comes to $287.96, while the two-year plan costs $69.99. In euros, that is €60.19 for the first two years versus €10.31 per month on the monthly plan. The annual plan at €41.27 works out roughly two thirds cheaper than twelve monthly payments.
The discount applies to the first term. Long plans then renew once a year at the current renewal price, which X-VPN does not publish in advance. If you are buying the two-year plan for its low monthly price, compare the full amount due, and check the renewal in your account closer to the end of the term. What other discounts are available
X-VPN does advertise a student discount: status is verified through external verification services, and the discount amount is not stated on the site. The service does not add extra free months to plans and does not lower the price for paying with cryptocurrency.
How to try it without spending
The free Basic version works without registration, shows ads, and unlocks a subset of locations, including the UK, Canada, Australia, and 13 US cities. Premium comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee on the first subscription if you pay by card, through PayPal, or through Google Play. Payment with cryptocurrency is not covered by the money-back guarantee, so it is the least suitable option for a first purchase.
