Urban VPN refund policy: how to ask for your money back

When asked whether Urban VPN refunds money, the service itself gives three different answers. The pricing page promises a full refund within 30 days. The FAQ says there is no money-back guarantee. The terms of use call payments non-refundable to the extent permitted by law and separately ban partial refunds. Counting on the 30-day guarantee is therefore risky.

If you paid through the App Store or Google Play

Here Urban VPN stays out of it: the terms send you straight to the store's rules. You submit the request to Apple or Google from your purchase history, and the store makes the decision. A common situation: the 3-day trial ends, and the store charges the yearly plan for $59.40. The sooner you write in, the better your chances.

If you paid on the website

Purchases for Windows and the browser extension go through the payment service Paddle. Premium owners can reach support with tickets from the account menu; there is no live chat and no phone. In your request, cite the 30-day refund from the pricing page and attach a screenshot of that page with the date: with such a contradiction, this is your strongest argument. The clause "to the extent permitted by law" does not take away the consumer rights granted by the law of your country.

What to expect

Whether the service refunds unused months and a monthly plan is not stated, and the terms exclude partial refunds. A refund request does not cancel the subscription itself: turn off auto-renewal right away, or the next payment will be charged on the usual schedule.
