How the free trial works
Urban VPN gives 3 days of Premium for free, only in the iOS and Android apps. The trial is tied to the annual plan and is available once; it does not exist on Windows or on the website. You sign up through the App Store or Google Play, and a card is required. If you don't cancel the subscription at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the store will charge the annual plan: $59.40 on the website, or $4.95 per month. The subscription renews automatically, and the service does not publish the renewal price.
What to test in three days
The trial unlocks WireGuard, Double VPN, more countries, 10 Gbps servers and split tunneling on Android. Test the speed and the sites you need the VPN for. If the service doesn't suit you, cancel the subscription in your store settings the same day.
If a charge has already gone through
Urban VPN is inconsistent on refunds: the pricing page promises a 30-day refund, the FAQ says there is no money-back guarantee, and the terms of use call payments non-refundable. Purchases through the stores follow their rules, so you will have to ask Apple or Google for your money. Read more: how to cancel Urban VPN and the Urban VPN refund policy.
What to use instead of the trial
A free version is available without a card: extensions for Chrome, Firefox and Edge, plus a Windows app with unlimited traffic; on Android traffic is limited. The free version has a cost in data: according to the privacy policy, the service sells summaries of browser behaviour to advertising clients, and in December 2025 the Urban VPN Proxy extension was reported to be harvesting users' conversations with AI chatbots. Other options: free trials without a card.
