One term and two plans

Privacy VPN can only be bought for a year. The standalone VPN costs €39.99, which works out to €3.33 per month, slightly above the median in our ranking (€3.13). The Malwarebytes Plus plan at €79.98 costs exactly twice as much and adds the Premium Security antivirus and the Browser Guard ad blocker. It only makes sense if you were already planning to buy the company's antivirus. Both plans cover 3 devices, although the VPN page mentions up to 20 devices depending on the plan. Prices on the site adapt to your country; the euro figures were taken for a visitor from Latvia.

What is unknown about renewal

Malwarebytes does not publish the renewal price, so the full-cost table shows a dash for after the first year. The VPN page lists no discounts or bonus months, but that does not mean the second year will cost the same €39.99. The service also does not say whether auto-renewal is on by default, or which payment methods are accepted. Before the term ends, open my.malwarebytes.com and check the amount of the next payment. There you can get one month for €5 or three months for €12, but a year costs €45, more than Malwarebytes charges.
