Cancellation goes through support
iTop VPN does not describe a cancel button in the account dashboard: according to the service, you cancel your subscription through the support team. iTop has no live chat, so you are left with tickets and email from the support page. Write from the address your account is registered with, and state your plan and purchase date right away so you don't waste a day on follow-up emails. Keep the support reply confirming the cancellation: it will come in handy if a charge still goes through.
If you bought VIP through the App Store or Google Play, iTop support cannot help here. You need to cancel in the subscription settings of the store itself on your phone, and Apple also handles refunds for App Store purchases.
When to write
Auto-renewal is on by default, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. You keep VIP access until the last day, so you can write right after buying and lose nothing. iTop sends a notification 7 days before renewal. If you have not written by then, treat this notice as the last convenient moment: support works by email, so leave time for a reply.
The service does not publish the renewal price. Right now a month costs $11.99, and 2 years go for $59.99 in the sale, but there is no way to know in advance how much the next renewal will charge. All plans are listed on the iTop VPN pricing page.
If the money has already been charged
For subscriptions, iTop promises a full refund within 30 days and a partial refund for unused months. The terms are described step by step on the iTop VPN refund page. After cancelling, the app does not disappear: a free version remains, with slower speeds and more than ten free servers.
