iTop VPN has one paid plan called VIP and four billing periods. A month costs $11.99, six months $41.99, a year $47.99, and two years on sale $59.99. The lowest price, €2.15 per month, is only available when paying for two years at once. The median in the main ranking is €3.13, so the long term at iTop is cheaper than average.
Which term offers the best value
Paying month to month for a year adds up to €123.74, three times the annual plan (€41.27). The semi-annual plan also loses out: two payments per year come to €72.22. The two-year plan costs just €10 more than the annual one. The monthly plan only makes sense as a short trial, and for that the service offers a free version: about ten servers in the US, the UK, Japan, Germany and France, with lower speeds and, judging by the VIP description, a daily traffic limit.
Discounts and renewal
The site shows discounts of up to 79% and "86% OFF" banners, but calculates them from $143.88 per year, that is, from twelve monthly payments. During sales, the annual plan comes with a second year free; on the promo page, a year plus a year cost $42.99. iTop does not publish its renewal price, so our table shows a dash after the first term. Subscriptions renew automatically, a warning arrives 7 days in advance, and you can only turn off renewal through support.
What is included and what costs extra
VIP unlocks full speed, all servers, unlimited traffic and up to 8 devices at once. A dedicated IP in the US, the UK, Canada and Germany is free. The DualSafe password manager and the iTop Private Browser are sold separately, at $24.99 and $47.99 per year. Prices are in dollars only, payment is accepted by card and via PayPal, and the service does not mention crypto payments. Subscription payments are refundable within 30 days.
