We collected 199 reviews of IVPN, most of them from the App Store: 110 reviews with a score of 3.34 out of 5 after smoothing. Google Play shows 3.19, while Trustpilot shows 4.00, but there are only 22 reviews there. The company barely responds to criticism: out of 37 negative reviews on Google Play, it has replied to one.
What customers praise
Happy customers write about the privacy and honesty of the service. Many have used IVPN for five or six years, mentioning regular audits, the fact that IVPN runs no affiliate program, and double hop, which works on iPhone too. One author travels a lot and praises the stable speed across Europe.
The main complaints
Most low ratings are about the connection, and many of them say the trouble started after an app update. Reviewers describe WireGuard failing to reconnect when switching from Wi-Fi to mobile data, a VPN that switches itself off without warning, and a connection where the app says it is connected but websites will not load. Recent reviews from summer 2026 complain about frequent outages. Less often, people write about a slow interface on iOS: buttons respond with a delay.
Updates are a separate topic. One user warns that installing a new version requires disabling all protections, and if the app freezes, a phone reboot helps.

Can you get a refund if IVPN is not right for you
