How to cancel TorGuard before the next automatic charge

TorGuard enables auto-renewal by default and renews your subscription for the same term again and again until you cancel it. The service does not promise reminders before an upcoming charge, so it is best to write down the next payment date right after purchase. You can cancel on your own, without messaging support.

Where to find the cancel button in the dashboard

Log in to your account on the TorGuard website and open Services, then My Services. Select the service you need, click Manage and then Request Cancellation. The button only files a request, so after submitting it, check that the service status in your client area has changed. TorGuard does not say how many days before renewal you need to submit the request, so do not wait until the last day. If the subscription was purchased through the App Store or Google Play, canceling in the TorGuard dashboard will not stop the store's charges; you need to cancel in the store's subscription settings.

How much renewal costs

Monthly plans renew at the same price as the first payment: Standard costs $10.99 and Ultimate $19.99, with no price increase after the first term. The service's terms also mention quarterly, semi-annual and annual terms, but their prices are not shown on the website. If you have one of these, check the renewal amount in your dashboard before the billing date.

Will you get a refund after canceling

Canceling stops the next charge, while refunds depend on the terms. TorGuard refunds only first-time customers and only within the first 7 days.
