Of the 1,041 collected reviews, most come from Google Play, where FastestVPN scores 2.78 out of 5 after smoothing, against an all-VPN average of 3.90. The store itself shows 2.1 from 3.43K ratings with more than 500K installs. Trustpilot shows the opposite picture: 4.08 after smoothing, against a market average of 3.66. Recent reviews are lower: over the last 90 days the average on Trustpilot is 3.14, on Google Play 2.15. Over the past year, the monthly average fell from 3.36 in October 2025 to 2.47 in September 2026.
What users complain about most
Connection problems are the most common topic in negative reviews (1–2 stars). Users report that all servers return "server is not responding", the connection drops after a few minutes, and the app will not let them sign in. Many complaints come from lifetime plan buyers: they say that after purchase some locations in Asia and Europe disappeared from the list, and the service started working noticeably worse. Users also praise the low price and the lifetime plan, which has long paid for itself. One Google Play user in July 2026 suggested switching to IKEv2 or OpenVPN if WireGuard fails to connect.
