AirVPN refund policy: how to ask for your money back

Two deadlines you should not mix up

Under AirVPN's terms, every unhappy subscriber is promised a full refund, and no reason needs to be given. The request must be sent within 30 business days of payment, which is roughly six calendar weeks. The second limit is stricter: if you have used the service for more than 30 days, your right to a refund disappears. It also disappears if you break the service's rules, for example by reselling access or sending spam. AirVPN commits to returning the money within 30 days of receiving the request.

How to submit a request

There is no refund button in the account. Only written requests to the addresses listed in the Privacy Notice are accepted; it lists info@airvpn.org. Write from the email linked to your account, and include your username and the date of payment. If you signed up without an email and paid with cryptocurrency, have your payment details ready: they make it easier to find the order. How AirVPN refunds payments made in Bitcoin or Monero is not specified in the terms, so ask about it in the same email.

What the terms do not say

AirVPN does not publish separate rules for the monthly plan, purchases through the App Store and Google Play, or refunds for unused time. The plans are prepaid and do not renew on their own unless you pick the subscription option, so unexpected charges are usually not an issue. Can you try AirVPN without paying?

There is no free trial period. Instead, there is a three-day plan for 2 euros, and it is easier to buy that than to go through a refund afterwards.
