Getting an Argentine IP on a Free VPN: What Each Free Plan Really Covers
Not a single service on this list names Argentina as a free location. The only published zero-cost route to an Argentine IP comes from a free account spanning a provider's entire network, and just three of the twenty reviewed providers offer that. The price is written into the terms: a fresh account every seven days, advertising SDKs that cut the tunnel when ads are blocked, or your own device serving as a proxy for strangers. Read more

What the 20 services on this page share
A provider qualifies under two conditions: some free offer exists, and Argentina appears anywhere in its server countries. The filter never checks whether the free tier itself can connect there, and that gap decides everything. The list mixes 12 consumer VPNs, 6 free mobile apps, and 2 gaming tunnels (Pro Gamer VPN and Mudfish). Eighteen made it into the main ranking; Tcpvpn and 1ClickVPN publish too little to compete there. Independent no-logs audits exist for only 3 of the 20, and most say nothing about ads inside the free plan.
Free accounts that reach the whole network, Argentina included
| Service | Free reach | Data | Devices | The hidden bill |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| VPN Jantit | ~70 countries | unlimited | 2 (1 on WireGuard) | new account weekly; logs of connections |
| VPN - Super Unlimited Proxy | 100+ countries (claimed) | unlimited | 1 | ad SDKs; ad blocker kills access |
| 1ClickVPN | 52 countries | not stated | not stated | your device used as a proxy for third parties |
VPN Jantit (6th, score 4.06) is the least invasive but the most tedious to maintain. The Super Unlimited app needs no sign-up and funds itself through AdMob, IronSource, Unity and similar SDKs; its privacy policy lists a CCPA "sale" of identifiers and geolocation to ad partners. 1ClickVPN, a Chrome and Edge extension covering 52 countries, warns in its own terms that routing strangers' traffic through your machine will slow the device and reduce security. Keep it away from any computer with a bank login.
Free plans fenced off from Argentina
Where a provider publishes an exact free list, that list stays in North America, Europe or Asia. BelkaVPN limits free extension users to the US and Canada, IceVPN offers Japan, the Netherlands and the US with 20 GB monthly, and FlyVPN's free servers run from Hong Kong to Ukraine. The rest go vague: Symlex says 3 locations, VpnHood! has 6 countries (Argentina sits in its full network, but no free servers on iOS and Windows), Urban VPN hints at "fewer territories than Premium". Caps shrink the promise further: TunnelBear gives 2 GB a month but no country choice, and the 500 MB tiers cover a bank login and a few chats, not video.
The browser-extension shortcut and the Urban VPN trap
Threads recommending a free Chrome add-on for an Argentine address often name Urban VPN. Its extension covers Chrome, Firefox and Edge, yet the exact free territory list is unpublished and free use is non-commercial only. The business model is marketing insights built from browsing data, sold to ad and brand clients, and in December 2025 the extension was reported harvesting users' AI chatbot conversations (CSO Online). An extension also tunnels only the browser: your banking app still connects from your real address.
Spanish pages, dollar prices, no pesos
Only 3 of 20 websites speak Spanish (VPN Proxy Master, Urban VPN, OkayFreedom), and none of the top three or the open-network tiers is among them. No service quotes Argentine pesos; most bill in US dollars, so the card statement depends on your bank's rate. Super Unlimited Proxy localises into 13 currencies, reais and Mexican pesos included, yet skips the Argentine one.
Top three by page score and what their free side gives
| CitadelVPN | BelkaVPN | Symlex VPN | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Score | 8.38 | 5.15 | 4.97 |
| Registered | Panama | Panama | Bangladesh |
| Paid from | €1.38/mo | €2.36/mo | €1.91/mo |
| Trial / refund | 5 days no card / 14 days | 7 days no upfront / 30 days | 5 days no card / 7 days |
| Free side | no ads, locations unpublished | US, Canada (extension) | 3 locations, ads, no kill switch |
Value carries 40% of this page score, which is why BelkaVPN jumps from 23rd overall to 2nd here despite a privacy sub-index of 3.0. Symlex scores 0.5 on bypass and drops the kill switch and split tunnelling from its free tier. CitadelVPN does not publish which locations its free plan covers.
FAQ
Does any free plan list Argentina as a free location?
No. The three open-network accounts reach it only by granting access to the entire server list.
Which free option reaches Argentina without an account?
The ad-funded mobile app and the 1ClickVPN extension both skip registration entirely.
Will a free Argentina VPN in Chrome cover my banking app?
No. An extension reroutes browser tabs only; apps on the same phone keep using your real IP.
Shortest route to an Argentine IP at zero cost
Pick VPN Jantit for an occasional login if weekly re-registration and connection logs are tolerable; choose the ad-funded app if you will not block ads; avoid running 1ClickVPN on a work or banking machine. For anything beyond a login, a cardless trial of a paid network that lists Argentina among its countries is the cleaner option. Paid Argentine servers, refunds and virtual-location checks are compared on the Argentina servers page; free plans without advertising are reviewed on the no-ads free VPN page.
