VPN Unlimited user reviews: what customers report and why ratings fell

2,611 reviews of VPN Unlimited (KeepSolid) collected from Trustpilot, App Store and Google Play. Most come from App Store: 4.06 of 5 after smoothing. Reviews never change our score.

Ratings by source

Smoothed: a source’s average across all VPNs counts as 50 extra reviews, so a few five-star reviews cannot outrank thousands.

On Reddit and forums

49 Reddit and forum threads mention VPN Unlimited (KeepSolid) (we keep titles and search snippets only).

We collected 2,611 reviews of VPN Unlimited by KeepSolid from Trustpilot, the App Store, and Google Play. The picture varies a lot by platform: after smoothing, the App Store gives 4.06 out of 5, Google Play 3.22, Trustpilot 2.53. Reviews do not affect our rating of the service.

The ratings collapse in fall 2026

From October 2025 to July 2026, the monthly average held between 4 and 4.5 stars. In September, 181 reviews came in with an average of 1.35; in October, 208 with an average of 1.19. Over the last 90 days, Trustpilot shows 1.07, Google Play 1.43, App Store 2.95. The App Store's high overall score rests on old reviews.

The main reason is easy to spot in fresh reviews. Owners of the lifetime subscription write that some servers and features were moved into a separate paid subscription, and they call it a "bait and switch". Less often, people complain about slow connections, IP addresses blacklisted by websites, and the fact that they cannot delete their account.

How the company responds

On Trustpilot, KeepSolid replied to 130 of 137 negative reviews, and on Google Play to 267 of 348. In the App Store, 318 negative reviews have received no replies. One recent App Store review is about exactly that: support went silent after the user sent proof of purchase for the lifetime plan.

What to consider before buying

Complaints come mainly from lifetime plan owners. The yearly plan costs $59.99, auto-renewal is enabled by default, and the renewal fee is not refunded. You can get your money back within 30 days of the first payment; gift codes are non-refundable. Details are in the section VPN Unlimited refund terms.
