The yearly plan works out to about €0.86 per month, almost four times cheaper than the median of the main ranking (€3.13). The 50% discount shown on the site matches the difference between paying for a year upfront and twelve monthly payments.
Renewal at the same price
For the yearly plan, the renewal price is published, and it is the same, $11.99. Over three years, the yearly Pro plan costs roughly €31, while paying monthly at the current price would come to about €62. On this measure, DuneVPN ranks first among 60 services in the VPNs with no renewal price hike ranking. There is one caveat: the service states that prices may change with notice, and for the monthly and six-month plans it does not publish a renewal price.
Six months almost at the price of a year
The six-month plan costs $9.99, which is $2 less than the yearly plan. Two such payments in a row add up to about €17 per year, versus €10 for the yearly plan, so choosing six months makes sense only if you are not sure you will need the service longer. For a short trial, there are 7 free days on the yearly plan and a free version with ads.
What is included and how to pay
Pro removes ads and unlocks all locations, premium servers, an ad blocker and connecting multiple devices. The site is inconsistent about the exact number of devices: in one place it says "several", and the features page says up to 10. Payment is only through Google Play; the service does not mention cryptocurrency or other methods, and the app is available only for Android.
