How to cancel OllaVPN: the dashboard, renewal and closing the account

How OllaVPN says you cancel: dashboard.

Cancellation and renewal

Auto-renewal by default

Reminder before renewal

Bought in App Store or Google Play
cancel in the store’s subscription settings

According to OllaVPN, you cancel the subscription yourself in the dashboard on the site, and there is no need to write to support. The service does not say whether auto-renewal is on by default or whether a reminder arrives before the charge. It is best to write down the end date of the paid term right after purchase.

Where the subscription was set up

The line about the App Store and Google Play in the table above is common to all services. OllaVPN's iOS app is available as an alpha version in TestFlight, and an Android beta is distributed as an APK. The service accepts payment on the site: Visa, MasterCard and Amex cards, PayPal and cryptocurrency. You log into the dashboard with an email and password.

Cancellation and refunds

Cancelling in the dashboard stops future charges. The service promises to refund money for Pro or Business within 30 days, no questions asked, but the refund is arranged separately, by email to the billing department. The details are on our OllaVPN refund page.

How much renewal will cost

Pro costs $2.99 per month on the two-year plan, and the site shows the regular price of $9.99 next to it and savings of $168 over 24 months. OllaVPN does not publish the renewal price, so it is unknown how much will be charged after the first term. Business costs $7.99 per user per month with a regular price of $12.99, and its renewal terms are also not stated.

What remains after cancellation

The free plan is limited to a speed of 10 Mbps and one device. OllaVPN does not say whether it moves the account to that plan after the paid term ends. If you close the account entirely, the service promises to delete your email address within 30 days, while daily traffic counters are kept for 90 days. Steps for other services are in our guide to cancelling a VPN subscription.
