Mysterium VPN refund policy: how to ask for your money back

On its website, Mysterium VPN promises a 30-day money-back guarantee. In the terms of use the period is different: a full refund within 7 days of the first purchase, while EU residents get a 14-day right of withdrawal. The website's promise and the terms text disagree, so it is safer to count on 7 days, or 14 if you are in the EU.

What limits the refund

The terms allow one refund per user and refuse refunds in cases of abuse. You will not be able to buy the subscription again and ask for your money back a second time. There is no trial period, so the only way to test the service is with your own money, and the best-value plan is sold for two years at once: $62.16 for Basic. Check the sites you need, the speeds and your devices in the first days, while the window is open.

The service does not say what happens with monthly plans, with any unused remainder of the term, or with automatic renewal. The terms only mention the first purchase, so a renewal that went through unnoticed may be left without a refund. How payments made in cryptocurrency through Coingate are refunded is also not specified.

Include the email of your account and the payment date, and keep the reply. If the subscription was bought through the App Store or Google Play, the refund goes through the store under its own rules.
