Three plans, all for two years
On its pricing page, Mysterium VPN only shows two-year plans. Basic costs $62.16 for 24 months (€2.23 per month), Plus $71.76 (€2.57), and Pro $114.96 (€4.12). Basic is cheaper than the €3.13 median in our ranking, while Pro is noticeably more expensive. Prices are given in dollars and exclude VAT: the site warns that tax may be added at checkout. Month to month, Basic starts at $10.49, which adds up to about €217 over two years against €53 in a single payment. A one-year term appears in the list, but the site does not show its price.
What the extra money buys on Plus and Pro
Basic covers 57 countries and more than 3,800 servers. Plus and Pro add 108 countries, more than 11,000 servers, city selection, 7,500+ residential IPs and a malware blocker, while Pro adds phishing protection. There is a contradiction around devices: the plans promise 6, 10 and 15 connections, yet the terms of use prohibit more than 6 at once. If you want Pro for the sake of 15 devices, keep in mind that under the service's rules this would already be a violation.
What happens after two years
The subscription renews automatically for the same term and plan, and Mysterium VPN does not publish the renewal price. This is why the full cost table shows a dash after 24 months. The site calculates its 74–78% discounts against the monthly price over 24 months ($251.76 for Basic) and says nothing about the amount of the second bill. To switch off auto-renewal, you email help@mysteriumvpn.com, so write in advance.
You can pay by card, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay or cryptocurrency through Coingate. There is no trial period and no free plan.
